Our History

Our path to becoming a total waste management provider began where most great collaborations start – with customer feedback. One of our customers simply wanted more from us as a partner. They had an idea of what they wanted in a sustainability manager and Envita was ready to rise to the occasion.

We knew there was a gap in the services being provided in the environmental space. Behind the scenes, Envita was already conducting a test pilot program of total waste management services that went beyond byproduct management.

Even then, we understood that in order to help customers achieve their sustainability goals, we had to examine their operation from top to bottom. We were able to build our Total Waste Maturity Model and a network of suppliers to help us implement unique solutions through state-of-the-art research and development. Our holistic approach allows us to meet customers where they are and develop plans tailored to their industry-specific needs.

Envita, with the backing of The Heritage Group, has been devoted to evolving alongside the changing sustainability landscape. For nearly 25 years, Envita has developed an intricate program to become a one-stop shop for total waste management. Our capabilities and resources have expanded to include circularity strategies, increased recycling and reuse, waste minimization, landfill diversion, equipment optimization, cost savings, regulatory compliance, and everything in between.
