Peter Lux serves as President of Envita Solutions, North America's leading total waste management partner. Envita is dedicated to fostering a healthier planet by transforming complex waste challenges into sustainable solutions. As part of The Heritage Group — a fourth-generation, family-owned business focused on construction and materials, environmental services and sustainability, and specialty chemicals — Envita is backed by deep operational expertise and a long-standing commitment to sustainability. Previously, Peter held the title of Chief of Staff and VP of Organization & People at Heritage Environmental Services (now Arcwood Environmental^TM), the largest privately held hazardous waste services provider in North America. Before joining Heritage, Peter worked in management consulting with Berkeley Research Group and Huron Consulting Group. Peter is a member of the World 50 Group, Terras, and serves as a board director for ClimeCo, a global sustainability company advancing a low-carbon future with market-based solutions.

Erika Patterson is a visionary executive with over 30 years of leadership experience in operations, corporate strategy, and transformational initiatives. As Chief Customer & Impact Officer, Erika oversees the operations and strategic projects teams and has responsibility over the growth and success of all existing customer accounts. Her distinguished career includes more than two decades at Ernst & Young, where she held a series of pivotal roles, including Americas Corporate Responsibility Leader — overseeing CR strategy for the U.S., Israel, Canada, and Latin America. Erika is passionate about developing high-performing teams and leveraging the power of diversity, inclusion, innovation, and collaboration to achieve measurable results. A proud Butler University alumna, Erika earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and remains actively engaged with her alma mater. 

As the Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy, Jesse Barber has the overall responsibility of designing a comprehensive commercial, marketing and communications strategy to accelerate new customer growth across multiple industry verticals in pursuit of Envita Solutions being the uncontested leader of total waste management services in North America. Before joining Envita, Jesse spent 18 years in the beverage distribution and medical device industries, earning business and sales leadership experience with the nation's largest wine and spirits distributor, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Cook Medical. Jesse received his B.S. in Corporate Communications from the University of Kentucky. 

Yanet Montanez serves as the Senior Vice President of International Business at Envita Solutions. In her role, Yanet manages key customer relationships in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico territory. For Mexico, she leads the enterprise, overseeing a multifaceted portfolio that spans from operations management to legal and compliance functions. She acts as a bridge between internal corporate strategies and on-the-ground implementation, harmonizing the global vision with the nuanced realities of each region.

Before joining Envita in 2006, Yanet was a member of the Mexican Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Mexican Delegation in the International Expo-Sciences. She received her degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technological Institute of Chihuahua and earned her master's degree in environmental engineering at the University of Texas El Paso. She also attended the High Performance Leadership Program at the University of Chicago, highlighting her commitment to advancement and success. 

Todd Wakerley serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Envita Solutions. In his role, Todd is tasked with uniting Envita's portfolio of digital products and services, creating a technology strategy that will drive operational efficiencies, enhance customer satisfaction, and enable our business to scale. Previously, Todd served as Vice President of Digital Products at Ecolab. In that role, he drove global product and engineering efforts for digital workforce automation, software products, and connected equipment. Prior to that, Todd spent 17 years developing enterprise software solutions in the security and asset management space. Todd has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Melissa Jaeger serves as the Senior Director of Business Transformation. In her role, Melissa guides company initiatives in business transformation, focusing on technology advancements, driving commercial growth, and refining operational processes. She plays a pivotal role in propelling innovation, operational efficiency, and business advancement through strategic application and management of technology resources and programs. In 2008, Melissa joined Envita and has since accumulated extensive experience and held numerous roles within the company. In that time, Melissa achieved numerous milestones including the implementation of a customer portal dashboard that showcases essential data and spearheading the execution of our Business Transformation Acceleration Program. Melissa earned her B.S. in Environmental Science from Indiana University.

Wes Rodman serves as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Envita Solutions. He works to drive sustainable company growth through new sales initiatives and expanding customer relationships. Wes' contributions have been instrumental in pioneering innovative tools and service offerings that have elevated Envita to a position of prominence in the environmental services sector. Before joining Envita, Wes held technical roles at Keramida as a Field Engineer and Boart Longyear as a Field Tech. This experience is showcased in his deep technical expertise, collaborative teamwork, and adeptness at client interaction. Wes earned his B.S. in Public Relations from Ball State University. He has furthered his education and honed his leadership skills through training at the Bell Leadership Institute and MBA coursework at the Indiana Institute of Technology.

Nicole Goodnight serves as the Senior Director of People and Culture for Envita Solutions. Nicole joined The Heritage Group in 2020 as the HR Business Partner for THG Corporate/HRG. She transferred to Envita in 2022 to build and lead the People & Culture team. Nicole has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and partnering with leaders to align talent with business strategies. She brings a passion for people and team member engagement, supporting company values and culture that develops and empowers talent, and partners align business and organizational strategies. Before joining the Heritage family, Nicole spent 18 years leading HR initiatives and transformation in the environmental waste and recycling industry, giving her a natural transition to her work at Envita. Nicole graduated from Ball State University. She is a long-time member of SHRM, a national professional HR organization. 

Scott Miller is the founder and CEO of Council Advisors (formerly G100 Companies), where he also serves as Chair of SSA & Company. Council Advisors is a partnership of boutique service businesses specializing in addressing the distinctive challenges faced by C-suite executives. Miller has also served in leadership roles at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts Corporation, United Infrastructure Company, and Snap Inc. He is an advisor to W.R. Grace Asbestos PI Trust and is on the private board of Jazz Aspen. Mr. Miller received his undergraduate at Stanford University and his MBA at the University of Chicago Business School.

Amy Schumacher is the Chief Executive Officer of The Heritage Group, overseeing the company’s portfolio of more than 30 businesses and 5,000 employees. Since joining The Heritage Group in 2008, Amy founded Monument Chemical, THG’s specialty chemicals business, and served as its President and CEO for eight years. Under her leadership, she expanded the small, Indianapolis-based business into a global company. Since then, Amy has transitioned to President and now CEO of THG, marking the fourth generation of Fehsenfeld family leadership. She graduated from Purdue University with a B.A. in Education and a B.S. in Civil Engineering and received her M.B.A. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  

Anthony Marino is an entrepreneurial leader with a proven track record spanning diverse industries including digital marketplaces, omnichannel retail, hospitality, and software. Anthony is passionate about building consumer brands, applying technology in novel ways, and leading high-performing teams that innovate for good. Most recently, Anthony served as President of ThredUP, the world's largest online marketplace for secondhand clothing. During his tenure, Anthony was instrumental in growing the start-up into a public entity and pioneering apparel resale at scale. Anthony holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University, where he was awarded the New York Herald Prize. 

David Niles is President and Co-founder of Council Advisors, a leading CEO-focused professional services firm comprised of SSA & Company, The Miles Group, and High Lantern Group.  David also serves as Vice-Chairman of World 50 Group, the world’s leading membership organization for C-level executives. David has extensive experience in corporate operations and building businesses, as a strategic advisor, private equity investor, and operating executive. David earned an MBA with distinction from Columbia Business School and holds a BA from the University of Virginia. He currently chairs the board of the Deming Center for Quality and Competitiveness at Columbia Business School and serves on the regional board for the University of Virginia’s College of Art and Sciences Fund. 

David Rosen serves as Executive Vice President of Strategy, Mergers, and Acquisitions at The Heritage Group. His career spans 30+ years with the majority of it investing on behalf of two families: the Pritzkers and Sam Zell. Before joining Heritage, David was an Investment Partner at Pritzker Group Private Capital, leading the firm’s services sector investing. He previously served as Managing Director at Equity Group Investments, the holding company for the corporate investments of Sam Zell. David has broad investment and finance experience across a wide variety of industries in both public and private equity investments. David received his BA in economics from Northwestern University. 

Christine Daugherty is a distinguished Global Sustainability Leader, renowned for her expertise in developing and executing strategic plans, managing complex topics, and delivering efficient and profitable results. As Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at Conagra Brands, Christine leads the company’s sustainability strategy, aligning environmental stewardship with business performance to drive long-term value creation.

Christine serves on the Bayer Sustainability Council, an independent external Sustainability Council that advises the Board of Management of Bayer AG and other functions within the company in all sustainability matters. She is also a Director for Leading Harvest, a nonprofit advancing sustainable agriculture, and Ciranda, a global supplier of organic and non-GMO ingredients. She also served as an advisor for Texas Christian University (TCU) Neeley Business School – Sustainable Business Certification program.  Her governance experience includes serving as past Chair of the Board for AgroScout, a precision agriculture AI company, and as a Board member for the Wells Fargo IN2 incubator, supporting ag-tech startups.

Previously, Christine held pivotal roles at the Gates Foundation, identifying private sector partners to address agricultural and climate challenges. At PepsiCo and Tyson Foods, she led global sustainable agriculture initiatives, integrating business and sustainability strategies to deliver transformative impact.

Christine’s unique blend of legal, scientific, and leadership expertise positions her as a trusted advisor in corporate governance, responsible sourcing, and sustainability innovation. She holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law, a Post-doctoral in Plant Gene Regulation from the University of Florida, a Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from Louisiana State University, a MS degree in Plant Pathology from Iowa State University, and a BA from Central College of Iowa.

Eunice Heath is Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer at CRH (NYSE: CRH), a $36 billion manufacturer and distributor of a diverse range of building materials and construction-related products. With 80,000 employees and operations in 29 countries, CRH is the largest building materials business in North America, Europe and Australia.

Eunice joined CRH in 2023 in her current role. As Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer, she is responsible for ensuring CRH delivers on its commitment to building a sustainable future for its business and the communities in which it operates. CRH’s sustainability framework is centered on three hard-to-solve global challenges for the built environment and society: water, circularity, and decarbonization.

Before joining CRH, she spent 31 years at Dow Inc. (NYSE: DOW). She most recently served as Corporate Director of Sustainability from 2019 to 2023, leading the development and implementation of the company’s 2025 Sustainability goals. She also led the cross- functional environmental, social, and governance steering team for reporting and disclosure. She created Dow’s corporate strategy for new targets aligned with climate protection, circular economy, and safer materials development.

From 2016 to 2019, she held the role of Global Director of Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability, leading strategy for product safety, stewardship, and sustainability leadership for Dow’s consumer solutions business. Multiple cross-functional leaders directly reported to her, including those in communications, science, sustainability strategy, regulatory affairs, and product stewardship.

She was Global Director of Sustainable Products Marketing and Strategy from 2013 to 2016, responsible for managing the relationship between Dow businesses and key sustainability organizations to ensure the effective deployment of Dow resources to address global concerns. She developed the corporate strategy for long-term engagement with The Sustainability Consortium, the Green Chemistry Commerce Council, and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. She also fostered relationships with universities and built Dow’s sustainability education strategy. She served as Senior Director of Government Affairs and STEM Education at Dow from 2012 to 2013.

Prior to her work in sustainability, government affairs, and STEM education at Dow, she held several roles in general management, sales, and marketing. She was General Manager of Dow’s Advanced Materials division from 2009 to 2012, Sales and Marketing Director for Dow Wolff Cellulosics in Switzerland from 2007 to 2009, Global Business Director of Performance Products from 2002 to 2007, and Marketing Manager of Performance Products from 2000 to 2002. She began her career in 1991 at Dow as a Sales Representative and took on roles of increasing responsibility in marketing and supply chain management.

She serves as Chair Project Lead the Way, a nonprofit that develops STEM curricula for schools; Board Secretary of Tandem Global and member of the United Nations Global Compact USA Network board. Broad board experience with strategy, governance, and finance.

Eunice holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Michigan-Flint.

Dr. Gayle Schueller is 3M’s Senior Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer, guiding the company’s science-driven approach to solving global environmental and social sustainability challenges. She works to embed sustainability criteria into product development, drives ambitious climate, water, and plastics goals, and collaborates with customers and partners to deliver innovations that improve lives while reducing resource demands.  She serves on advisory boards for the United Nations Global Compact, the Corporate Eco Forum, and the University of Virginia Department of Materials Science.  She has previously served in advisory roles with the Conference Board Sustainability / ESG Global Advisory Board, the Fast Company Impact Council, the Alliance to Save Energy, the Walker Art Center, Twin Cities Public Television, and as a Liaison Delegate for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

Gayle earned a Ph.D. in materials science from the University of Virginia, then started in 3M’s corporate laboratory as a product development engineer.  With over 30 years of technical and business leadership experience, her career spans a broad range of markets from electronics to healthcare to consumer, and broad range of industrial businesses.  She has led technical and business teams from around the world including Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America. 

Gayle’s previous assignments include Vice President of New Platforms for Growth and Commercialization, Directora General for 3M Mexico, Vice President for Global Sustainability, and Vice President of Research & Development and Design for 3M’s Consumer and Office Business. 

Gayle is passionate about making a positive impact in the world through science and technology.

Most recently as Vice President & Chief Sustainability Officer, Kristen Siemen led General Motors to a future with zero emissions as the company continues to take bold actions against climate change. Siemen began her career with GM in 1994, serving in several engineering staff and senior leadership positions including Electrical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Test and Validation, and Energy, Certification and Compliance. Siemen serves on multiple advisory boards including the Oakland University School of Engineering & Computer Science Advisory Board, where she received both her bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering. 

Karen Totland has spent her entire career in the chemical industry, most recently as Chief Sustainability Officer of FMC Corporation, a Fortune 500 company. Karen also has strong operational expertise and strategic business leadership, having built and led Global Procurement functions with multi-billion dollar annual spends. With a passion for global supply chain procurement and sustainability, she focused on strengthening sources of supply from quality vendors to deliver improved sustainability and economics. Karen holds a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Ottawa and conducted post-doctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. 

Miguel Veiga-Pestana is a purpose-led business leader with a 30+ year proven international track record in major global corporations and the 'not for profit' sector. He is a change agent and trusted strategic advisor to Boards and C-suite executives, dedicated to building and protecting reputation, driving purpose, and integrating sustainability into core strategies. Miguel blends his experience as the former VP for External Affairs and Sustainability at Unilever, Chief Communications Officer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and as Head of Corporate Affairs and Chief Sustainability Officer for Reckitt. He was recently appointed as Chief Sustainability Officer for Drax Group Ltd based in London.
