The Challenge
A site within a leading global specialty materials company had made strong progress diverting waste from landfill, but it lacked the data infrastructure needed to accurately measure performance. Because key recycling streams, especially scrap metal and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) materials, were not fully captured, the site could not clearly demonstrate its landfill versus non-landfill percentage or meet Zero-Waste-to-Landfill certification requirements.
