The Challenge
The largest consumer goods company in the U.S. needed a waste processing facility capable of handling large volumes of various materials while focusing on safety, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
The Solution
Envita Solutions invested in a 100,000 square foot facility in Blue Ridge, WV that employs around 30 people working three shifts per day. The necessary equipment –bailers, compactors, extruders, etc. – was purchased and installed to effectively process waste.
The Result
The processing center handles impressive annual volumes across multiple streams. It manages the destruction of 60,000 tons of products, recovers 24,000 tons of plastic, processes 18,000 tons of old corrugated containers (OCC), and recovers 18,000 tons of liquids.
