The Challenge
A global HVAC manufacturer partnered with Envita Sustainability Solutions Mexico as part of a large-scale total waste management (TWM) program, managing more than 100 onsite employees and multiple pieces of industrial equipment, including compactors and balers. With a large workforce operating in a high-activity environment, the program required a scalable approach to embed safety as a core cultural value, encouraging proactive identification and reporting of unsafe behaviors and conditions without disrupting efficiency.
The Solution
Envita implemented a digital safety reporting system based on QR codes, enabling all on-site employees to access it. The tool empowers team members to report safety risks in real time, improving transparency and operational visibility.
By leveraging real-time data and insights, Envita collaborated with the customer to prioritize corrective actions and implement preventative measures, reinforcing a shared commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
The Result
By partnering with Envita, the customer identified and mitigated two high-risk operational conditions, had 60 safety reports submitted within four months and did not have a recorded accident or near miss incident following implementation.
